VEGAN MARZ BARS (gluten-free, no-bake)✨🍫 Hola if you want one! 👋🏼 ⁣

This creation combines my favourite choc protein ball recipe and my fave vegan caramel sauce by naturescharm ! ✨ Pre-made caramel really is such a time saver, but if you are feeling adventurous you can totally make your own caramel too :)⁣

Here is the recipe ➡️⁣

VEGAN MARZ BARS (gluten-free, no-bake)⁣

Makes: 4 large bars⁣

INGREDIENTS:⁣
Choc base: ⁣
✅3/4 cup almonds⁣
✅2 tablespoons desiccated coconut ⁣
✅2 tablespoons cacao powder⁣
✅ 2 tablespoons vegan chocolate protein powder (I used macr0mike hazelnut fondant – discount code “amb-chen” ) ⁣
✅ 1 cup dates, pitted & soaked (reserve water) ⁣
✅ 1 tablespoons date water (adjust depends on how absorbent your protein powder is )⁣
✅ 1 tablespoons coconut oil, melted⁣
*Optional: drizzle of liquid sweetener e.g maple syrup ⁣

Caramel:⁣
✅ 4 tablespoons vegan caramel ( I used naturescharm butterscotch sauce) ⁣

Topping:⁣
✅100g dairy-free chocolate (I used bennettonaturalfoods dark )⁣
*Optional: Chopped nuts for decoration ⁣

METHOD:⁣
1. Line a container with non-stick paper (my container was 8 x 20cm) ⁣
2. In a food processor, blitz the almonds until it resembles a fine flour⁣
3. Add in the cocoa powder, coconut & protein powder and briefly process to combine ⁣
4. Add the the dates and date water, and coconut oil, then process until the mixture clumps/sticks together. If it doesn’t then you may need to add more liquid ⁣
5. Transfer the mix to your lined container, press down to form an even layer.⁣
6. Spoon the caramel sauce over the top of the base layer ⁣
7. Freeze overnight until the caramel is almost solid ⁣
8. The next day, slice the slab into logs⁣
9. Melt the chocolate and dip each log into the chocolate. Pop it in the freezer for 15 minutes to set the chocolate ⁣
*Storage tips: in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or in the freezer for months, allow it to thaw at room temp for a few mins before serving ⁣

Happy Friday guys! Definitely let me know if you try this! ✨⁣
