TURKISH MINCE PIDES (vegan) ✨😍 You guys NEED to get around this delicious pide recipe – it’s perfect for gatherings this festive season! ⁣

I used Beyond Meat mince from Futurefarmco which I got from my local Coles supermarket! The Smokey flavour profile of the mince worked magic in this dish!⁣

Here is the recipe ➡️⁣

Makes: 2 pides⁣
✅ 2 cups flour⁣
✅ 1 teaspoon (7g) dry yeast ⁣
✅ 1/4 teaspoon sea salt ⁣
✅ 1 teaspoon sugar⁣
✅ 1 tablespoon oil⁣
✅ 1 cup warm water⁣

Mince topping: ⁣
✅ 300g vegan ground beef (I used Beyond Mince by futurefarmco )⁣
✅ 1 teaspoon oil ⁣
✅ Spice mix : 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp coriander, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp salt ⁣
✅ 1 tablespoon tomato paste ⁣

To serve:⁣
✅ Pistachios shelled ⁣
✅ Pomegranate seeds⁣
✅ Mint ⁣
✅ Dukkah ⁣
*Optional: Vegan tzatziki ⁣

1. Make the bread dough: In a large bowl, mix the flour & salt to a large bowl.⁣
2. In a different bowl, mix the yeast, sugar, oil & warm water. Set aside for 5 mins⁣
3. Add the liquid to the flour, then mix until you have a dough. Tip the dough onto a floured chopping board. Knead for a few minutes until the dough is springy. Transfer back to the bowl & cover with a damp cloth for ~60 mins. The dough should have doubled in size.⁣
4. Meanwhile, cook the Mince: On medium high heat, add the oil, Sautée the spices, tomato paste & mince for 10 minutes until caramelised.⁣
5. Preheat the oven to 200C fan-forced. Line a baking tray with non-stick paper.⁣
6. On a floured board divide the dough into 2 balls then roll out into long oval shapes. Pinch the dough at each end so you are making a slipper shape.⁣
7. Assemble the pide: spoon the mince mix onto the central part of each pide, leaving a space around the edge. Fold the edges up and over the filling a little.⁣
9. Bake for 15 minutes, until the crust is golden⁣
10. Remove from the oven, allow to cool before topping with pistachios, pomegranate, mint & Dukkah⁣
*Serving suggestions: with vegan Tzatziki ⁣

I hope you guys give this a try! Sending lots of positive vibes this festive season ✨⁣
