NUTTY CRAISIN SLICE with TAHINI DRIZZLE (vegan, gluten-free) ✨😍 Save this deliciously moreish bar for your next snack prep!⁣

I made this slice using oceansprayanz craisins (dried cranberry) + a variety of nuts that I had handy in my pantry! This recipe is so versatile and a great way to use up ingredients in the pantry! ⁣

NUTTY CRAISIN SLICE with TAHINI DRIZZLE (vegan, gluten-free) ⁣

Makes: 12 barss⁣

INGREDIENTS:⁣
Shortbread Base:⁣
✅2 cups almond meal⁣
✅1/3 cup pure maple syrup⁣
✅1/3 cup nut butter of choice (I used peanut) ⁣
✅1/2 teaspoon salt ⁣

Nutty Craisin Layer:⁣
✅1/2 cup oceansprayanz craisins⁣
✅1/4 cup pure maple syrup ⁣
✅2 tablespoons tahini⁣
✅2 cups mixed nuts⁣

Tahini drizzle:⁣
✅ 1 1/2 tablespoons tahini ⁣
✅ 1 1/2 tablespoon pure maple syrup ⁣

METHOD:⁣
1. Prepare a square baking tin with non-stick paper. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees C / 350 degrees F fan-forced. ⁣
2. Make the SHORTBREAD BASE: mix all ingredients together until a dough forms. Transfer this as an even layer into your baking tin and use a fork to poke holes in it. ⁣
3. Bake the base for 12 minutes until golden. Remove and pop this in the fridge to cool ⁣
4. Make the NUTTY CRAISIN LAYER: In a large bowl, mix together the nuts, craisins, maple syrup and tahini until all the nuts are coated in syrup. Transfer this over the shortbread base.⁣
5. Make the TAHINI DRIZZLE: In another bowl, mix the maple syrup & tahini together until smooth m. Drizzle this over the entire slice.⁣
6. Bake the slice for another 15-18 minutes until the nuts are nicely toasted⁣
7. Remove from the oven and allow the slice to fully cool before slicing. The caramel will firm up as it cools down.⁣
*Storage tips: in an airtight container at room temp for 2 days, fridge for a week or frozen for months ⁣
